Duration: 5 Day(s)

Description

MBDA has developed a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) process, using SysML and UML, based on their existing Systems Engineering Policy.

This course has been specifically designed to teach the concepts of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within the context of MBDA's Systems Engineering Process and MBSE methodology. It focuses on the practical application of MBSE using the MBDA Architecture Framework.

Delivered in the form of a workshop, this course combines theoretical knowledge with practical application and encourages collaboration between delegates to develop a design solution.

The course uses an MBDA specific example to ensure that knowledge is transferred in a way which will allow the delegates to immediately apply an MBSE approach to their project.

Content

  • What Model Based Systems Engineering is
  • Reasons to adopt a Model Based approach
  • The terms and definitions used in Model Based Systems Engineering
  • How to define the system context / operational architecture
  • How stakeholder concerns impact the system context
  • How to define the interaction between the system and its environment
  • How to derive system requirements from the stakeholder concerns
  • How to develop the system functional architecture from the system requirements
  • How to use the identified behaviour to develop the system physical architecture
  • The inputs and outputs of each development phase
  • How to model the solution using the MBDA Architecture Framework
