DO-178C is a newly available update to the Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification standard. It aims to address the evolution of software development over the past 30 years as well as clarify some inconsistencies identified in the DO-178B standard.

This course focuses on explaining the differences between DO-178C and its predecessor DO-178B. Using extensive industry experience, our consultants will explain how organisations can successfully implement the changes introduced in the updated standard.

  • The history of DO-178B and DO-178C
  • Why DO-178B needed to be revised
  • Overview of the changes between DO178B and DO-178C
  • The updated DO-178 terminology
  • How DO-178C addresses object oriented software
  • How DO-178C addresses model based development

Who should attend
