Reference: SY-07
Duration: 1 Day(s)

Description

The UK Ministry of Defence Architectural Framework (MoDAF) is an enabler for managing complexity. It provides a logical, standardised way of presenting and integrating models of the enterprise. By covering both operational and technical issues, MODAF enables stakeholders to gain the essential understanding that will be required to deliver the benefits to be derived from Network Enabled Capability (NEC).

This one day course gives you an overview of MoDAF, defining key terms and concepts as embodied in the MoDAF meta model with an emphasis on reading MoDAF views.

Content

  • The basic concepts of Enterprise Architecture
  • What an Architectural Framework is
  • MoDAF Concepts and Terminology
  • MoDAF Architecture Views
  • How to implement MoDAF within an organisation
  • What the Unified Profile for DoDAF and MODAF (UPDM) is

Who should attend

Engineers and managers who require a basic understanding of MoDAF concepts and views.

Prerequisites

An understanding of system engineering principles and concepts is required to attend this course. An understanding of UML/SysML would be advantageous but is not required.
